Special guest at PSA Zeebrugge

A new wind is blowing into PSA Zeebrugge.

22 September 2026

Neoliner Origin is certainly not an everyday sight in the port, with two masts reaching almost 90 metres into the sky. As a prototype for a new generation of ro-ro cargo vessels, she uses wind as her primary source of propulsion, with the potential to reduce fuel consumption by around 80% compared to a conventional vessel of the same size.

With wind as a key source of propulsion, NEOLINE is bringing a new approach to transatlantic shipping. Her first-ever call in Belgium marks the start of a monthly call at PSA Zeebrugge.

From our terminal, we are proud to provide NEOLINE with a reliable and efficient gateway to Europe, supporting innovative solutions that can contribute to more sustainable maritime logistics.

And the fact that Neoliner Origin also calls at PSA Halifax makes this connection between our terminals in Europe and North America all the more special.
