3 March 2026 Further to our previous advisories, and considering the evolving security situation in the Middle East, CMA CGM reiterates that the safety of its crew, vessels and customers' cargo remains its highest priority. As a result, emergency measures are being implemented for all shipments to and from the following countries: Iraq (Port of Umm Qasr), Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These measures include, but are not limited to, vessel deviations to contingency ports. Such diversions are carried out pursuant to Clause 10 of the CMA CGM Bill of Lading and are subject to applicable Force Majeure provisions. Customers will subsequently be requested to provide further instructions regarding the onward handling of their cargo. Available Options: 1. Delivery at contingency port (BL accomplished). The equipment must be returned in at contingency port. 2. Delivery to the place of your choice by road or rail, subject to agreement on price and availability. 3. Change Of Destination (COD) to the port of your choice, subject to agreement on price, service & port availability in the current circumstances. All costs arising from the application of the above Bill of Lading provisions shall be for the account of the cargo. Important Notes: • ECS as per CMA CGM Customer Advisory will be applicable and paid before release (except for cargo originating from the USA). • Any related charges (Detention & demurrage, storage, handling, etc.) arising from receiving the cargo at contingency port will be for the customer's account. Advisory #5 - Middle East - Suspension of all bookings 3 March 2026 In view of the on-going developments in the region, CMA CGM has decided to suspend all bookings with immediate effect and until further notice for ports of loading / ports of discharge located in the following countries: • Bahrain (all ports) • Kuwait (all ports) • Qatar (all ports) • United Arab Emirates (all ports except Fujairah and Khor Fakkan) • Saudi Arabia (all ports except Jeddah, King Abdallah Port, Yanbu, NEOM) • Iraq (port of Umm Qasr) The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safeguard of ots crew, vessels and customers cargo under the current circumstances. For the containers already on board or ready to load at the port of origin, specific information will be communicated by our local offices to each customer individually. We remain fully committed to maintaining service continuity and transparency during this challenging period. Advisory #2 - Middle East - Emergency Conflict Surcharge 1 March 2026 In continued efforts to ensure the safety of our crew, vessels, and your cargo amid the ongoing developments in Iran and across the Arabian Peninsula, precautionary measures have been taken to safeguard operations in the affected areas. We understand these measures may impact your logistics and supply chain operations; however, they are necessary steps that also lead to additional operational costs. Accordingly, we hereby inform you that, effective March 2nd, loading date and until further notice, an Emergency Conflict Surcharge (ECS) will apply to all bookings as follows: Emergency Conflict Surcharge details: USD 2,000 per 20' Dry Container | USD 3,000 per 40' Dry Container | USD 4,000 per Reefer or Special Equipment Scope: From and to Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt / Port of Ain Sokhna, Djibouti, Sudan, Eritrea Cargo: All types Date of Application: March 2, 2026 (loading date). Advisory #1 - Middle East - Strait of Hormuz and Bab El Mandeb Security Transits 28 February 2026 Considering the evolving security situation in the Middle East and the restrictions on maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, CMA CGM reiterates that the safety and security of its crew remain its foremost priority. As a result, CMA CGM continues to take all necessary measures to safeguard its vessels and protect customers' cargo including the following immediate measures: • All vessels inside Gulf, and bound to Gulf, have been instructed with immediate effect to proceed to shelter. • Passage through the Suez Canal has been suspended until further notice, and vessels will be rerouted via the Cape of Good Hope. Customers will be contacted as soon as we have more details of the possible alternative ports where their cargo could be discharged. This decision is dictated by safety considerations and is made in compliance with our Bill of Lading Terms and Conditions. First list of vessels impacted can be found here.
