Together with the ports of Ceuta and Gibraltar, the port of Algeciras is part of the second largest European market place for bunkering services and is an important logistic hub for oil trading activities.

Vopak Terminal Algeciras is a partnership of Vopak (80%) and Vilma Oil (20%). The terminal has been designed by Vopak and will be operated on the basis of the global Vopak Standards.

Eelco Hoekstra, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Vopak:
“We are very pleased with the opening of this new terminal within Vopak’s worldwide network of strategically located tank storage terminals.
