The port authority has responded with all possible assistance in firefighting on both land and sea, though fire trucks and specialized firefighting equipment aboard harbor tug vessels. Response teams from government sides were also on site. Despite efforts to extinguish the flames, the vessel was towedout of the port’s harbor waters to prevent risk or damage to other vessels docked at the port. Operations at the port were ongoing as usual and not impacted by the incident. At approximately 1130 the vessel capsized outside the port area. All crew members aboard the vessel were able to evacuate safely and there are no reported casualties. The cause of the fire isexpected to show electrical conduction from equipment onboard the vessel.
