NYK Energy Transport (Atlantic) Ltd. Celebrates 10th Anniversary

NYK Energy Transport (Atlantic) Ltd. (NETA; head office: London) celebrated its 10th anniversary at London’s Natural History Museum on November 21.

About 250 guests were invited to the event, including customers and partner companies of NETA and the employees of NYK LNG Shipmanagement (UK) Ltd., the London-based wholly owned subsidiary company of NYK that offers ship-management and crew-manning services for the LNG shipments operated by NETA.

NYK president Yasumi Kudo expressed his deep appreciation for NETA’s involvement in various projects that have included the use of 19 vessels for LNG shipments over the past decade. He also thanked customers and partner companies for their years of support.

NETA engages in market and business development for the transportation of energy across the Atlantic to and from Europe, Africa, North, Central and South America.. The company has 19 LNG vessels and a coal-tar-pitch carrier. NETA also charters and operates seven medium-range (MR) tankers. Moreover, the company has been contributing to fostering the maritime industries of Nigeria and Angola through a seafarer-training program. NETA is an NYK Group company and recently changed its name from NYK LNG (Atlantic) Ltd.
