NCSP Gets Three New Portal Cranes

NCSP Group (LSE: NCSP, MOEX: NMTP) hereby reports that three new Liebherr portal cranes were delivered to PJSC NCSP on 14 August 2015 by a special vessel from Germany. Cranes are expected to be put to operation in September 2015.

«Two cranes are Liebherr LPS 550 with 124 tonnes lifting capacity, designed for handling Panamax and Post Panamax container ships up to 6 000 TEU without restrictions and up to 8 000 TEU with certain limitations. They were already mounted at berth 18 of Wide Pier No. 1.

LIEBHERR LPS 600 portal crane with 208 tonnes lifting capacity is mounted on berth 16 Wide Pier No. 1. This is the only crane of such capacity in Novorossiysk and in the South of Russia. This crane is designed to handle bulk cargo in rail-to-ship direct mode by lifting the hopper-car body off the bogie.

Thanks to its versatile capability new crane are easily adaptable to any kind of cargo, and will be employed in transshipment of containers, as well as machinery and equipment, metals, and bulk cargo.

The cranes were delivered to PJSC NCSP fully assembled and do not require installation works, which allows to put them into operation in the nearest future.

Liebherr representatives attended the unloading of cranes. New equipment was tested, and not PJSC NCSP specialists are being trained in cranes’ operation and maintenance» – said CEO of PJSC NCSP Sultan Batov.
