MISC's Seri Everest Delivers First Ethane Cargo

Kuala Lumpur - 03 March2021

MISC Berhad (MISC) is pleased to announce that Seri Everest, its first Very Large Ethane Carrier (VLEC), has successfully completed her first cargo discharge at Lianyungang port, Jiangsu province, China.

Seri Everest’s first cargo of more than 51,000 MT of ethane wasdischarged safely on 28 February 2021 at the ethylene plant.

The successful completion of Seri Everest’s loading and discharge which was managed by Eaglestar Shipmanagement Gas (S) Pte. Ltd. (Eaglestar) is to date, the largest in the history of ethane shipping.

The cargo was loaded from Orbit Terminal, Nederland, United States of America (USA) where Seri Everest was the first VLEC to call on the new terminal.
