ASC has today reaffirmed its commitment to the sustainment of the Collins Class submarine fleet by signing a new Heads of Agreement with Mac Taggart Scott Australia (MTSA) and Mac Taggart Scott Company (MTSC).

This new agreement is the first step to strengthening the strategic relationship between the companies, working towards increased support on the Collins fleet.

ASC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Ludlam, MTSC Chairman, Richard Prenter and MTSA General Manager, Peter Richings signed the agreement at the Pacific 2013 International Maritime Exhibition in Sydney today.

“The new agreement aims to continue to improve and develop the relationship between the companies in order to achieve benchmark availability for the Collins Class submarines,” Mr Ludlam said.

MTSA, with the support of MTSC, currently provides services to ASC for the Collins fleet totally over $12 million. The new agreement will increase and expand these services to further support and develop industry capability and assist ASC in optimising our supply chain.
