Ardmore fleet achieves one year Lost Time Injury (LTI) free days

Aug 7th, 2017

On July 26th 2017, the Ardmore Shipping team proudly celebrated achieving one year LTI free days across the Ardmore fleet of 27 vessels – equating to over 1.7 million man-hours.

An LTI is defined as “Any work-related injury that renders the injured person temporarily unable to perform their normal work or restricted work on any day after the day on which the injury occurred. In this case, any day includes rest day, weekend day, scheduled holiday, public holiday or subsequent day after ceasing employment.”

This is a significant milestone for Ardmore as it reaffirms the company’s continued focus and commitment to uphold the highest safety and operational excellence standards across all Ardmore vessels.

Commenting on the achievement, Georgina Alderman, Marine & Insurance Manager said: “This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication and professionalism of all officers and crew who have sailed onboard the Ardmore fleet over the last 12 months and prior to that. Thank you for continuing to uphold our core values.”

The announcement coincided with additional news that two Ardmore vessels had also independently obtained three years LTI free days. The Ardmore Endeavour and Ardmore Sealifter achieved three years LTI free on June 26th and July 23rd respectively. In addition, the Ardmore Seaventure marked four years LTI free on July 7th, while the Ardmore Seamaster reached six years in March.

Ardmore would like to sincerely thank its seafaring team for their unwavering efforts, which have directly resulted in the company achieving these fantastic results year-on-year.
